Cows

Cows

Last night, just before teatime, my family and I had to go and shift our two cows to the paddock down the road, where there was fresh grass.  We got one of the cows down the road easily but the other one wasn’t cooperating with us so we had to bring out the big guns, aka my Dad. After an hour of trying we went back inside, except for my Dad who tried for another hour. Eventually he got the stubborn cow in.  When he came inside we congratulated him then finally sat down for tea together.

  1. Alex, This is a well written story, with enough detail and description for us to imagine the scene and some of the feelings you may have had about trying to get the cows in. I really enjoyed it. What might you do differently the next time you move the cows?

  2. Hi Alex. Your dad sounds tough! Last night we moved our beef cow and our 2 milking cows and our Perendale sheep off the swedes. Do you live on a farm and how many cows do you have? Bye, from Ben from Lee Stream School.
